New Beginnings

Aug 02, 2024

I recently began the process of changing my name back to my maiden name. Why? Because I realized that I didn't want to be tethered to my former life with my ex-husband. I took a deep look at who I am, who I want to be, and the vision I have for my business, Uncaged Woman—a woman who is bold, authentic, and free.

In order to fully embrace this vision for myself, I felt ready to shed my married name and return to the name given to me when I was adopted at the tender age of three months. I've lived a life afraid of rejection and abandonment, based on cellular memory and the stories and beliefs I created along the way. As they say, what we focus on expands, and by putting my attention on my fears rather than on love, I attracted the very thing I feared the most.

Letting go, choosing love, and seeing through the eyes of love, I am now free to experience the love of being CHOSEN. Adoption is a beautiful gift to both the parents and the child. I overlooked this gift by focusing more on the parent who "didn't want me" than on the ones who did. And so now, I choose to return to that given name: Guyton.

Why am I sharing this? So you aren't surprised when you begin receiving emails from Trudy Guyton instead of Stoner. Slowly but surely, you will see the changes in the articles I write, my website, and my branding.

Won't you help me embrace this change?

Here's to becoming exactly who we want to be!
